I first heard the word “Kavadba” a couple years back. My friend Josiah and I were in PE together and we started a badminton tournament. Josiah and I got put on the the same team and tried to think of a team name. He said... KAVADBA!!! I was like what dude?! What is that? He says, “It’s like the sweetest word ever and it means live life to the fullest basically!” I thought that was gnarly!!! So we went with the name. A few weeks later... team Kavadba won the tournament and we had an awesome time doing it!!!
That was the last time I heard the word until my senior year of school (last year). Josiah came up to me and told me his buddy had this awesome company and it was called Kavadba! It blew me away! I was like... that’s the word that we had as our team name right?! YA DUDE!!! he says. Wow dude that is totally sick!! You gotta show me some of their stuff!!!
Later that day we went on the computer and he took me to the website. We browsed all over the website and I really liked the way it all looked!! I wanted to buy everything but I don’t have that kind of money! haha. I went back to the website several times during the day and kept showing all sorts of other people the stuff. I was just so excited about it! I ended up buying a shirt for my girlfriend and we both love the way it looks!!! A few weeks later I saw Josiah wearing shirts and hoodies and I thought it was SWEET!!!!
So time passed on... and “Kavadba” became my new favorite word. I am a person who likes tattoos. I like them for the meaning behind them. I got to thinking one day, Kavadba would make a sweet tattoo!!! Ya see, I am a very shy person and it has effected my life quite a bit. I don’t like being shy at all but it comes natural to me. It has left me out of a lot of things in my life. So... the meaning behind Kavadba (live life to the fullest) made me think... if I’m being shy all the time, that sure isn’t living this life to the fullest and getting as much as I can out of it!! God gave me this world and I’m scared of it!! That needed to change!! So I decided to get this tattoo for that reason. First I wanted to do just the logo, but I couldn’t really come up with a design I liked. Them I saw a stomach tattoo and I thought the whole word would look just amazing like that!!! I tried hundreds of different fonts trying to get the perfect one!! I finally just went to my tattoo artist and asked him to design something for me. He came up with the word so it looks like it is cut into my skin. I was thinking... the word kavadba running through my body!!! THAT IS AWESOME!!!! So we went for it. I am only half done with. I get the rest finished this upcoming weekend. What I have so far took 2 and a half hours, and it was some of the most pain I have ever felt!! But now I totally think it was worth it! Every time I start to feel shy I look at my tattoo and I thank God for this AMAZING place and life!!!!!!!
